Squeezing Time for God in a Hectic Schedule!
I can hear some of you sitting there looking at your emails and wondering, “Is Monty going to miss a day?”
Some are probably saying, “It took longer than I thought but I knew he would quit sending a daily blog post.” LOL
Well, my schedule gets adjusted beyond my control just like it does to everyone of you.
I am not immune to family problems and illnesses. Which is exactly what has delayed this daily post.
But the good thing is it gave me something to post about! Amen?
Do you find it hard to squeeze in time for God?
I have lost count of how many people have started bible studies, devotionals, online studies with me but are not any longer.
Their schedules have become too constricted to squeeze God in.
I know, that hurt but we all struggle with this.
That is exactly what satan wants. He wants us to be too busy for God!
I know, some of you want to know how to make time for God, but you just can’t seem to figure out how to squeeze HIM in.
The struggle is for real, and it is for all of us.
But the real deal is that spending time all by yourself with the Lord is critical to that intimate relationship we need.
I have had so many tell me they just don’t have the time anymore. Then they will go on about all the challenges in their lives that is competing for their precious time.
Here is the biggest secret.
Are you ready?
It’s not about “having” the time. It’s about making the time.
You see, we have to spend time with the Lord or we will become separated!
Jesus talks about how important it is to spend time with God in John 15.
He uses the analogy of spending time with God as a branch being attached to a vine. Amen?
If a branch is removed from the vine, it will eventually die. Furthermore, a branch can only bear fruit when it is attached to the vine.
So, the biggest question you need to ask yourself isn’t how can I make time for God.
No, we need to ask ourselves, “how can I make spending time with God my Number 1 priority.”
Where are you already spending your time?
It may be helpful to take a look at where your time is going and replace some of it with spending time with God.
Just saying….
As much as it may hurt to hear this, I share this with everyone that tells me about their challenges for spending time with the Lord.
I tell them, “Get up earlier.”
The looks I get when I say that! LOL
But, Jesus had a busy schedule! Right?
Mark 1:35 GNB Very early the next morning, long before daylight, Jesus got up and left the house. He went out of town to a lonely place, where he prayed.
I guess if it was the answer for Jesus it certainly is an answer for us to consider.
Praise the Lord he kept me in line today and still provided me with a daily blog to post as I squeezed in some time with HIM!
Squeeze in your time with HIM today.
God bless.
