Give Me a Break!

Give Me a Break!

Give Me a Break!

That was Ethan’s attitude yesterday!

We had a few moments dealing with a teenager’s attitude about school and homework.

Simply put, Ethan just did not want to do what he had to do.

He was learning new things and it was not easy to say the least.

The things that we think are easy today were hard yesterday, amen?

It is like chewing some bubble gum! When you first start chewing it, it is hard!

At first, the gum hardly has any taste.

Then as you chew more and more on the gum it becomes softer and starts to taste good. Amen?

While explaining that he must meditate (chew on) on the directions until he understands, it made me think about the fact that we must do the same with God’s word. Amen?

Psalms 1:2 KJV But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

When we read, think and pray about a verse or verses, chewing on it, for what may be hours, days or even weeks, we are meditating. Amen?

Then suddenly, without warning, it not only makes sense but it applies to a specific situation in our lives!

May you find yourself meditating daily, allowing the word to illuminate on your situations today.

Be blessed.
