Genealogy
Tammy and I work on genealogy.
Tammy spends hours and hours doing research while I am just a novice but we both enjoy it.
Last night in bible study while reading 1 Chronicles chapters four and five, one of the study notes that was shared was worth sharing here today.
It stated that bible genealogies show that God cares about families!
God values families!
God chose Abraham to be the father of a great family that would be a blessing to every nation.
This blessing came in Abraham’s greatest descendent, Jesus Christ, who came to redeem sinful humanity and allow them access into God’s family. Amen?
That is one of the wonderful truths of the Gospel, God welcomes us into His family!
John 1:12 communicates this beautifully, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
God not only cares about families, but He wants you in His family, Amen?
Our own earthly genealogy also shows our love for our earthly family and when that study note was shared last night it just made sense why we were struggling through all the begats! LOL
