Celebrating a Birthday!
While sitting in the motorhome, sipping on some coffee, I am thinking about the birthday we are about to celebrate.
Ethan is turning 14 today and we have his God Parents and a couple other friends coming over to celebrate his birthday with us.
We are going to have some hot dogs, jalapeno sausages, and hamburgers!
Of course, there will be some chips, cake, cookies and more.
Some would say that is a feast, amen?
While sitting here with God, I was trying to think of how in the world today’s activities could give me a devotional blog post.
Then I thought, who in the Bible celebrated their birthday?
I mean who actually did something to celebrate their birthday in the bible?
Two people are listed in the Bible celebrating their birthdays.
Genesis 40:20 KJV And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
The baker got some bad news, and the butler got some good news amen?
Matthew 14:6 KJV But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.
It was not the greatest day for John the Baptist that day, was it?
So anyway, there is some Bible Birthday Trivia for you today.
May you all have a blessed day today.
